CLUB LEADERSHIP AND COACHES

Final coaching assignments will be settled throughout the tryout process as we identify the total number of teams that we will field and pair our coaches with the teams that we feel they will best serve. We are also in conversation with other coaches and plan to be prepared to accommodate as many as 10 teams this season.

CLUB LEADERSHIP

Tara Neidigh -  Tara is assumed the role of Club Director in Fall 2020.  Tara has been involved with IPV/Relentless since she was a player in 8th grade!  In 2020 Tara was head coach of Relentless 16 Black.  She is serving her second season as an assistant coach with the State College Girls Volleyball team after graduating in Spring 2019 from Juniata College.  In 2019 Tara assisted full time with 14 Gold and part time with 17 Red. In 2018 Tara served as the assistant coach for our KRVA Region Champion Relentless 15 Gold team. Tara has served as a volunteer, IPV Summer Camp coach and assistant coach giving back to the club since she was in 10th grade.  Tara began her club volleyball career playing for IPV in 8th Grade. Tara then played 4 club seasons with Revolution Volleyball Club including 3 straight seasons at the 18U level. Most recently Tara competed for 2 seasons at Juniata College where she is now a Senior.  Previously she played for State College High School with 3 of those seasons at the Varsity level as a DS/Libero for the D6 Champions and 2-time Mid Penn Commonwealth Conference Champions. As a senior Tara was named to the All-District 6 and Mid-Penn Commonwealth Conference All Star teams and the Pennlive.com Big 15 2nd team. 

Assistant Director:

Jason Powell - Jason served as head coach of Relentless 13 Gold in 2020. Jason came to the Relentless staff with over 12 years of coaching experience at the Middle and High School levels. He has coached at both Brockway and Clarion-Limestone High Schools. As Head Coach at Clarion-Limestone, he guided the Lions to the school’s first District Title. Jason had the privilege to coach athletes who were All-Conference, All-District, and All-State selections and who continued playing volleyball at the collegiate level. Recently Jason has also been involved with the Relentless developmental program, IPV, in both Dubois and State College locations.

Karen Finlan - Karen has many years of playing experience and has been a volunteer in our IPV local leagues as well as IPV travel teams. Karen has been around the game for many years as a player, instructor and official. Karen's playing experience includes adult travel clubs such as Penn State USVBA and Dark Horse Volleyball Club in Philadelphia.  She has also been active in playing in numerous competitive adult leagues.   Karen's daughter Katie played many season with Relentless and at State College  before moving on this year to compete for Roanoke College in Virginia. 

Krystal Hefflinger - Krystal is currently a Sophomore playing at Lock Haven University.  Krystal played for Northampton High School and competed in club volleyball for Synergy and EC Power. 

Cassidy Hoover -  Cassidy is entering her 2nd season coaching with Relentless. Cassidy assisted with Relentless 14 Red in 2019.  She is currently a Junior playing at Lock Haven University. Cassidy played her High School volleyball at Carlisle.   Full Bio to come

Maureen Kelliher - Maureen has coached 2 prior seasons with Relentless at the 14 Red and 14 Gold levels.  She has extensive playing and coaching experience in Virginia.  Full Bio to come

Joi Mckenzie -  Joi is entering her 3rd season coaching with Relentless but is not new to IPV/Relentless.  She has also served as a Summer Camp Coach several seasons for our IPV program.  Joi played middle at Eastern Michigan University after a successful high school career with the State College Girls Volleyball team in high school. Joi has extensive coaching experience at the Middle School, High School and club levels at Penns Valley, Park Forest Middle School, Bellefonte High School and Revolution. 

Jocelyn Mitchell - Jocelyn is rejoining the Relentless staff for 2020. Jocelyn previously coached with Relentless for 2 seasons.  She is the Head Coach for Mt Nittany Middle School.  

Kayla Moran - Kayla is a freshman playing for Penn State Altoona.  Kayla competed for State College Area High School and played many seasons with Relentless.  Kayla has also served as a court coach for both IPV and State High volleyball camps.  

 Chad Weight 
Chad is in his 15 th year as a volleyball coach and his 10th season as the Varsity Head Coach of the State College High School Girls Volleyball Team. During his years at State High the team won eight district titles and four Mid Penn Commonwealth Division titles. In 2016 State High completed an undefeated regular season advancing the the PIAA State Semi-Finals.  Chad has also had the honor of coaching a number of girls who have gone on to play at the collegiate level and many all-state, all-district, and all-conference players. Chad also served for four seasons as the Head Coach of Park Forest Middle School. 
Prior to coaching in the State College Area School District, Chad spent 3 years as the head coach for Bellefonte Area High School. Chad’s club experiences at various capacities have included time with Lion’s Pride, NVJ, Revolution, Affinity, and Relentless.  His experiences have also included presenting at clinics for the PVCA and coaching PSU camps.  Chad has been involved with volleyball, whether playing or coaching, the last 29 years.  

Jaiden Yocca - Jaiden is currently a Sophomore playing at Lock Haven University.  Jaiden played for Hershey High School and was a 2018 Mid-Penn All Star.
