Final coaching assignments will be settled throughout the tryout process as we identify the total number of teams that we will field and pair our coaches with the teams that we feel they will best serve. We are also in conversation with other coaches and plan to be prepared to accommodate as many as 10 teams this season.


Club Director: Todd Horner
Todd is the founder of Relentless Volleyball Club and IPV. He has over 13 years of experience across a broad range of roles in several clubs including Lions Pride, C3 Fire and Revolution as a coach, club director and a youth volleyball pioneer in the Centre Region. Prior to founding IPV he launched and developed the C3 Sports Volleyball program. IPV is known for laying a strong foundation for volleyball success and cultivating growth in the game for young players in the Centre Region. Many players who got their volleyball start in C3 Sports and IPV have gone on to great success at both the high school and collegiate levels. Coaches 2018 Relenlless 15 Gold to the club's first ever KRVA Regional Championship.

Todd has also served as the Tournament Director for the State College Girls Little Lion Invitational for the last 8 years as the event has risen to prominence as a premier event in the state. Todd served on the KRVA Region High Performance Committee during its infancy helping to establish and launch the program in the Region.  Played collegiate baseball at Penn State.  Married to Heather and has four daughters who have all been volleyballers - Elizabeth, Suzanne, Abigail and Jacqueline. Elizabeth played at the University of Pennsylvania, Suzanne currently plays professionally in Finland after competing at Iowa State University and Abigail currently plays for the Edinboro University team and Jacqueline will be competing for the Shippensburg University Track and Field team in the javelin.

Associate Director: Chad Weight
Chad is in his 13h year as a volleyball coach and his 9th season as the Varsity Head Coach of the State College High School Girls Volleyball Team. During his f years at State High the team won eight district titles and four Mid Penn Commonwealth Division titles. In 2016 State High completed an undefeated regular season advancing the the PIAA State Semi-Finals.  Chad has also had the honor of coaching a number of girls who have gone on to play at the collegiate level and many all-state, all-district, and all-conference players. Chad also served for four seasons as the Head Coach of Park Forest Middle School.

Prior to coaching in the State College Area School District, Chad spent 3 years as the head coach for Bellefonte Area High School. Chad’s club experiences at various capacities have included time with Lion’s Pride, NVJ, Revolution, Affinity, and Relentless.  His experiences have also included presenting at clinics for the PVCA and coaching PSU camps.  Chad has been involved with volleyball, whether playing or coaching, the last 28 years.

Kelly Aston - This will be Kelly's 2nd season coaching with Relentless. Kelly coached our 12U team to Mid-Atlantic Grand Prix Championship, two 2nd place finishes and a top half finish in the 13U bracket of Happy Volley in 2018.  Kelly has a great passion for the game and enthusiasm for coaching.  Kelly has served as a coach for the Penns Valley Middle School for the past two seasons. Kelly will be coaching our 13 Gold team in 2019.

Lynn Chapman –
Lynn played as a setter for Indianola High School in Iowa and as a defensive specialist for Simpson College (Iowa). She then served as Head Coach for Viterbo University (NAIA) in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Lynn is in her 3nd season coaching with Relentless and IPV. She served as the Head Coach for our 13-1 team in 2016 and 2017 and has been serving as a coach with our IPV Summer Camp and Fall Programs as well. She has both knowledge and enthusiasm for the game.

Kim Claar - Kim served as our 13 Red coach in 2018.  She has been the Penns Valley Middle School Head Coach for the past two seasons.  Full bio to come. 

Cori Donaghy - 
 Cori is entering her 2nd season as a coach with Relentless.  In 2017 she serve as a floating assistant spending time with teams from 12s-17s.  Cori has been the Head Coach of the St. Josephs Girl Volleyball Team for the past 2 years.  Full Bio to come

Nakita Gearhart - 
  Nakita is beginning her first year coaching with Relentless.  She comes to Relentless with an impressive resume' as a collegiate and high school player. A 2013 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School, she was a 4yr starting middle hitter. Named all four years to conference all-start team and 2x Mid-Penn Capital Division MVP.  Nakita continued to excel at the next level. She graduated in 2017 from Juniata College with a degree in Biology. While at Juniata she played all four years as a middle on their volleyball team. Nakita was named the team captain the spring of her sophomore year and position she held for the remainder of her career.  Her accolades include 3x Landmark Conference MVP, 4x Landmark Conference first team, 4x AVCA All-Region first team, 2x Division AVCA All-American. In 2017, Nakita served as an assistant coach at Shippensburg University. Currently she is the head coach at Huntingdon Area High School and will be a part-time assistant coach for Juniata College Men's volleyball team in the spring of 2019.

Jayme Ishler - Jayme brings a unique range of playing and coaching experience to Relentless. Jayme is completing her 4th season as the Penns Valley Girls Volleyball Head Coach.  Under Jayme's leadership the team has reached new heights. Prior to coaching at Penns Valley, Jayme was the JV coach at Central Dauphin for two seasons and also coached club volleyball for 5 seasons with Triad Volleyball Club coaching some of the top players in the Harrisburg area.  Another unique coaching experience that Jayme had was coaching the Army sitting volleyball team for the Wounded Warriors Games.  As a player, Jayme was a 3 time team captain for Penn State Harrisburg and a 2 time conference All-Star.  After completing her collegiate career she competed for Team USA Volleyball for several weeks in an international tournament in Australia. Jayme  played high school volleyball at Bellefonte.  Jayme lives in Centre Hall with her husband and two daughters and is looking forward to being part of the Relentless team!

iz Johnson - Liz is in her second season with Relentless.  Liz competed as a setter and 3 year starter at East Stroudsburg University.  She also brings extensive club coaching experience to the gym ranging from the West Coast to most recently with Revolution in State College.  Full Bio to com 

Joi Mckenzie -  Joi is entering her 2nd season coaching with Relentless but is not new to IPV/Relentless.  She has served as a Summer Camp Coach several seasons for our IPV program.  Joi played middle at Eastern Michigan University after a successful high school career with the State College Girls Volleyball team in high school. Joi has extensive coaching experience at the Middle School, High School and club levels at Penns Valley, Park Forest Middle School, Bellefonte High School and Revolution. Full Bio TBA 

Janae Moran - Janae is entering her 2nd season coaching with Relentless. Janae was a 4 year Girls Volleyball Varsity letter winner at State College. She also played one season at Elizabethtown College.  Janae has serve for years as a camp and volunteer coach for IPV and Relentless. 

Tara Neidigh - Tara has served as a volunteer, IPV Summer Camp coach and part time assistant giving back to the club since she was in 10th grade.  In 2018 Tara served as the assistant coach for our KRVA Region Champion Relentless 15 Gold team.  Tara began her club volleyball career playing for IPV in 8th Grade. Tara then played 4 club seasons with Revolution Volleyball Club including 3 straight seasons at the 18U level. Most recently Tara competed for 2 seasons at Juniata College where she is now a Senior.  Previously she played for State College High School with 3 of those seasons at the Varsity level as a DS/Libero for the D6 Champions and 2-time Mid Penn Commonwealth Conference Champions. As a senior Tara was named to the All-District 6 and Mid-Penn Commonwealth Conference All Star teams and the Big 15 2nd team. Tara will be serving as an Assistant Coach this season with 14 Gold.

Emma Weakland - 
Emma is a former standout player for State College Girls Volleyball graduating in 2013.  After competing for State High Emma continued her playing career at Winthrop University, a DI program in South Carolina competing the Big South Conference. Emma played as both a Right Side and Outside hitter, starting in her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior seasons and was voted captain her Junior year and reelected her Senior season. Emma was a 2015 All Conference Honorable Mention selection, voted to the 2016 Big South Pre-Season All Conference Team, was the Big South Player of the Week in October of 2016, and was voted 2016 Big South All Conference 2nd Team. Emma has spent the past 4 years coaching club volleyball and clinics while in South Carolina and gave her time last season as a volunteer assistant with Relentless. 

Samantha Weakland - Samantha Johns Weakland, graduated from Baldwin High School (south hills of Pittsburgh) in 1984. She was a three sport athlete competing in volleyball, basketball and track. She participated in 3 state track meets as a member of both a 4 x 400 and 4 x 800 relay teams, and earned a silver medal, and a 4th place finish. On the volleyball team she was a middle hitter, and her teams qualified for the PIAA state tournaments. Samantha went on to play volleyball at Penn State under the legendary coach Russ Rose. While at Penn State she was a defensive specialist, and even enjoyed competing as an outside hitter for a brief time, and was captain her senior year. 
Coaching Experience: Upon graduating from college she coached volleyball at State High; an assistant for two years and head coach for one before taking time off to have and raise her four children. Samantha returned to coaching in 2005, and has coached track, various age groups of club volleyball and was an assistant State High coach. 
Samantha is married to Chris Weakland, they have four children all of whom participated in high school and collegiate athletics. She is  currently the principal at Our Lady fo Victory School. 

Shaye Whiteman - Shaye is currently competing at the starting libero for the Lock Haven University Women's Volleyball Team.  She coached club last season at the 15U level for Horseshoe Volleyball Club and is excited to be joining the Relentless staff this season. Shaye is slated to be the Head Coach for our 14 Red team. Full Bio to come. 

Chloe Williams - Chloe is a starting middle hitter for the Lock Haven University Women's Volleyball Team. Chloe has served as a camp court coach and providing lessons to young players. She has great enthusiasm and is excited to be partnering with her college team Shaye as the Assistant Coach for 14 Red.   Full Bio to come.
Mike Zeman - Mike is entering his 2nd season coaching with Relentless. Mike coached the 2018 Relentless 13 Gold team to 3 wins and two 2nd place finishes. native of Rochester, NY, Zeman brings playing and coaching experience to the program. He is an alumni of the Rochester Volleyball Club, Rochester, NY, where he played 16s, 17s, and 18s. A setter, his club teams finished Top 15 at Club National Championships each year. During his senior year his HS team, Webster, won the NYS Boys Volleyball Championship and finished undefeated. Zeman was named captain, team MVP, and would earn All-County, All-Tournament, and All-State honors. He later played for the Penn State Men's Volleyball team in 1996-97, and has served as a student and volunteer assistant coach for the Penn State Women's Volleyball team for over 20 years. Zeman returned to Rochester after college and coached Boys and Girls Varsity Volleyball programs in Spencerport, NY from 2001-2006, and was named Class A Coach-of-the-Year in 2002. In 2001, the Spencerport Boys team finished as the Boys NYS Volleyball Championship Runner-up. As a varsity coach, he ran and directed all levels of volleyball programming, including middle school, freshmen, and JV levels, and directed multiple skills camps each summer. After returning to State College with his family in 2008, Zeman has been busy officiating Men's and Women's NCAA Division I matches as a line judge, and has played and officiated in the Centre County Parks and Rec league. He is excited to be back in the gym working as a skills coach and game strategist, and is grateful for the opportunity to work with new coaches, parents, administrators, and enthusiastic players.
